John Brough () was a War Democrat and the 26th governor of Ohio (). He made a strongly pro-Union speech in Marietta, Ohio, on J As governor, Brough strongly supported the the Lincoln Administration and its war efforts. Judge Solomon Sibley, of Detroit, Michigan, married a Miss Sproat, of Marietta, Ohio, early in this century.
